Award-winning comedian Chipper Lowell
has been described as an“artistic cyclone of talent & comedy.”
Unusual stunts, bizarre magic, dangerous juggling and twisted
comedy are all hallmarks of this fireball of a performer.
Though a longtime favorite of comedy insiders, international
promoters and corporate event planners, Chipper is now bringing
his unique brand of infectiously amusing mayhem to even wider
audiences.
His second critically acclaimed stage show, “The Chipper
Lowell Experience!”, has quickly become the top draw in
the Reno/Lake Tahoe area, With growing word-of-mouth and glowing
reviews the show is becoming less and less of a well-kept secret
all the time.
Being born into a circus family certainly held its advantages
for Chipper. His father was a well-known, professional clown
while his mother was a top flight aerialist who performed such
death-defying acts such as the “Iron Jaw” where she
would suspend herself several stories above crowds using only
her teeth. (Yes, you read that right!) “Because of her,
we were never without a bottle opener,” jokes Chipper.
Not content to merely soak up the circus atmosphere of his wacky
childhood, Chipper also became an ardent student of the many
other performing arts---such as theatre, film, and even vaudeville.
By age 17, he had already developed his own one-man show, The
ChiPPeR ShoW!, which took him all around the world numerous times.
Since then, his credits have become just as varied as his talents:
- He has headlined top casinos and theatres in Las Vegas, Reno,
Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City, Canada, Japan, Australia, and
Europe.
- His Television credits include: The Tonight Show with Jay
Leno (twice), Empty Nest, The John Larroquette Show and America’s
Funniest People.
- His film credits include "Larger Than Life", "Time
Changer", and "My Life".
- Because of his quick wit and quirky take on the world, Chipper
has been a favorite guest on several television and radio
talk shows, including: Good Morning Los Angeles, KRLT.FM, K-OWL – Lake
Tahoe and the RSN channel.
- He has been a regular presence on KMTN radio serving as a
guest host for 30+ shows.
- In addition to performing, Chipper has also written and consulted
for the following: (Television) The Tonight Show with Jay
Leno, Comic Strip Live, The Magic of David Copperfield, (Film)
Remnant, SIX.
- The red-headed comedian has garnered several top honors and
awards
including twice being voted “Comedy Magician of the Year!” by
the International Magicians Society (2004 & 2006), and “Specialty
Act of the Year!” for 2006
by both Action Magazine and Lake Tahoe’s Daily Tribune.
- Chipper continues to raise awareness for two of his favorite
charity organizations – AutismSpeaks & The Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation. Special performances are set aside for
these two outstanding charities, and a minimum of 50% from
each show is donated directly to them.
Chipper resides in southern California with his wife, son and
a mortgage.
